# BEC scan server

bec-scan-server is a core Python service for the [Beamline and Experiment Control (BEC)](https://gitlab.psi.ch/bec/bec) server, tasked with the handling and orchestrating the data acquisition. 

## Installation

Use the package manager [pip](https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/) to install bec-scan-server.

pip install bec-scan-server
```

## Contributing

Merge requests are very welcome! For major changes, please open an issue first to discuss what you would like to change.
All commits should use the Angular commit scheme:

The `<type>` and `<summary>` fields are mandatory, the `(<scope>)` field is optional.
##### Type

Must be one of the following:

* **build**: Changes that affect the build system or external dependencies (example scopes: gulp, broccoli, npm)
* **ci**: Changes to our CI configuration files and scripts (examples: CircleCi, SauceLabs)
* **docs**: Documentation only changes
* **feat**: A new feature
* **fix**: A bug fix
* **perf**: A code change that improves performance
* **refactor**: A code change that neither fixes a bug nor adds a feature
* **test**: Adding missing tests or correcting existing tests


Please make sure to update tests as necessary.
